Vision and Values

Our Vision

At Christ Church Hanham, we nurture relationships rooted in love, respect and forgiveness, where every member of our community is enabled and empowered to be their unique self.

Through learning that is rich in knowledge, authentic and purposeful, together we will embark upon a journey of self-discovery and exploration, building on our individual talents and striving for excellence so that we can all flourish.

Through a deep understanding of our world and the stories of our communities, we will embrace challenge and demonstrate resilience. We will take inspiration from each other as we aspire to achieve our dreams and live out our values so that we can make a positive difference to society and contribute to a better world.

Our Values

Our Christian Values are at the centre of everything we do at Christ Church CE VC Primary School. Each half term, we focus on a different Christian Value, explicitly through our collective worship time, but also through our curriculum. Children have regular opportunities to reflect on each value and to develop an understanding of the Value in action. Each Friday, in our Celebration worship, we acknowledge children who have demonstrated such values at home and in school.

We are extending the opportunities for children to plan, prepare and lead worship to either the whole school or their classmates through our SWAT (School Worship Assembly Team). Our visitors from the Church and community who lead our worship help us to reinforce our understanding of each value as they share stories from the Bible.

The Values we explore and strive to live by are: Courage, Creativity/Creation, Peace, Trust, Forgiveness, Justice, Thankfulness, Compassion, Hope, Truthfulness, Humility, Generosity, Respect, Reverence,  Service, Perseverence, Friendship and Responsibility.
