Early Reading and Phonics

At CCH, we aim to develop a life-long love of reading from the moment our children join us in EYFS. We know that a secure understanding of phonics is the best way to enable all pupils to become successful readers.

We develop children’s knowledge and understanding of phonics through the teaching of a systematic, synthetic phonics programme. At CCH, we use the Read Write Inc programme to deliver our phonics curriculum.
