School Lunches
School Dinner Menu
We help our pupils acquire the skills and knowledge to make healthy choices and set a good example by offering healthy food to all pupils and staff.
Our Aims:
- To ensure pupils are well nourished at school, and that every pupil has access to safe, tasty and nutritious food.
- To ensure that pupils have easy access to a safe drinking water supply during the school day.
- To encourage food provided from home for consumption at school meets the same standards as food provided by the school.
- To make the provision and consumption of food an enjoyable, social and safe experience.
- To ensure that food provision in the school reflects the ethical and medical requirements of all pupils at the school.
Dolce are our school meal caterers. We worked with a group of other schools to identify the best provider for our school and we are confident that Dolce offer high quality food for our children.
The cost of a two- course meal is currently £2.65 for children in Year 3 – Year 6. Children from Reception – Year 2 will continue to receive universal free school meals.
Great Food
Each lunch service will offer children the following two course menu choices:
- Meat and Vegetarian option (popular, traditional dishes)
- Jacket potato with choice of fillings
- Baguettes
- Salad & fresh bread available daily
- Homemade desserts
The food is sourced from local providers and will include fresh, seasonal ingredients. There is a rolling three week menu which changes throughout the year. Dolce are keen to work alongside the parents to provide meals that the children enjoy therefore they welcome any feedback. If there are unpopular menu choices, Dolce are willing to change the menu to meet the preferences of the children.
Ordering for Reception and KS1-Universal Free School Meals
Pupils from Reception through to year 2 are eligible for a free meal on a daily basis. However these MUST be pre-ordered on School Grid.
Payment and ordering KS2
All ordering and payment of meals will now go straight through the catering company directly using their online system School Grid and therefore the school will no longer be responsible for receiving payments. All meals must be ordered on the online menu via the ‘School Grid’ website by 8:55am.
Payment
KS2 meals must be paid for in advance unless your child is in receipt of Free School Meals as Dolce operate a no debt policy. If payment has not been made for KS2, then the system will not allow you to order a meal. You will then need to send your child in with a home packed lunch.
Any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the school office.
