We are delighted to be able to share with you our ‘Special Home Learning’- learning activities and ideas that have been planned for all of our pupils to complete during the school closure period. Teachers will also be using the same resources for those children who are attending school during this time so that we know that all members of Team CCH are provided with similar experiences.
We have also created a special CCH School Closure Learning Timetable which mirrors what we are doing in school- this ensures that all of Team CCH, whether at home or at school can make the most of the next few weeks.
We have designed our learning opportunities around three areas:
- Daily basics- short activities to complete daily to keep our brains sharp
- Focus learning- these activities are based on the English, maths and Discover curriculum areas usually covered at this time of year
- General activities- these suggestions are more generalised and have been chosen to inspire our pupils and encourage them to have fun!
A lot of the learning activities contain online links to resources. Where other resources are required, we have provided these on the year group pages. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any problems accessing the materials.
Children in EYFS can continue to record their learning using their 2Simple electronic journals. All other pupils have been provided with a new exercise book to record their learning. Please also feel free to take pictures of your child’s learning- we will shortly be sharing with you some tools for sharing what our pupils have been up to.
We will continue to update these pages with relevant resources for each year group as well as signposting links to other activities and opportunities that families may enjoy accessing.
